A 40 year old Mountain Iron man is being held in St. Louis County Jail after allegedly shooting his neighbor twice during an altercation early Friday morning.
The incident happened at 5425 Park Drive in the Mountain Iron.
The victim, 33 year old John Charles Kolterman Jr. of Mountain Iron, was transported to St. Mary' hospital in Duluth, where he underwent surgery for his injuries.
According to St. Louis County Sheriff’s officials, the gunman, who was known to the victim, allegedly shot Kolterman Jr. with a .44 magnum revolver in the abdomen and foot in a garage owned by John Charles Kolterman Sr., just before three a.m.
