City crews have been working non-stop since the big storm hit clearing main roadways and on Monday they started working on alleys and residential neighborhoods.

City employees weren't the only ones working hard Monday. Many employees of business spent the majority of their shift clearing sidewalks.

Duluth resident Jeremy said "It's a pain, I would just prefer that nice powdery snowmobile and ski snow that's easy to shovel, it's easy on the back...good for building snowmen."

MNDOT spokesperson John Bray says plows did their best to keep ahead of the storm and state highways are in good shape, but winter driving in Minnesota can be a little dodgy no matter how many plows are on the road.

"Winter in Minnesota, the two best words are common sense, and just drive slowly, drive cautiously and expect the unexpected."

It could be up to three weeks before all the sidewalks in the city are clear.

The Duluth Police Department will be enforcing alternate side parking now that cleanup has begun People that aren't parked on the right of the side street could face a ticket or could even have their vehicle towed.

This week motorists should be parking on the odd side.
