University officials at UWS celebrated the anticipated 'topping off' of the campus' Swenson Hall building.
To mark the event, people inked their name on roof trusses. Messages included 'thank-yous' to donors.
Down the road, officials say the two pieces of infrastructure will be lifted into place.
Spokespeople say they're excited about what Swenson Hall will offer to students once it's finished.
"Swenson Hall will really be the flagship building at UW Superior," said Al Miller, UWS senior university relations specialist. "It's going to be a marvelous, big facility."
The building will house various student services such as tutoring and professor-student meeting places.
The facility is expected to be complete in early 2011 at a cost of $32 million.
