In the next few months 100 jobs at Advanstar Communications will slowly be outsourced to HCL Technologies. Employees will be offered temporary employment of at least four months with HCL and will be able to receive a severance.

After the outsource transition about 75 people will remain in the Duluth office. Those remaining employees will handle quality control.

CEO Joe Loggia said in a statement released Wednesday that outsourcing will allow the company to operate more efficiently.

Advanstar serves the fashion, life sciences and power sports industries with a wide ranging portfolio from events, to publications to the web.
