A live web camera at the UMD library was taken down Monday when the school learned a Duluth business was streaming it's images live for it's customers.

The Duluth Family Sauna was using the web-cam feed of students as a page called "stalking local wildlife at the UMD library.

The UMD Director of Information Technology responded by removing the web camera.

"We just heard about this yesterday. We did get a complaint from one of our students who felt uncomfortable about its use on a company website and so we chose to take the camera down."

The camera was installed when the library was first built with hopes parents would tune in to see what was happening on campus.
