Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Ready...Set...Drink!

The Duluth Running company hosted its third annual "Shamrock Pub Shuffle" Sunday.

The non competitive run saw 800 joggers clad in green make their way from Leif Erickson Park and through Downtown Duluth.

The racers stopped at four bars long the way, where they were given the opportunity to rest and enjoy a beer, or another beverage, before sprinting,or in some cases, staggering onward.

It's estimated the event brings in thousands of dollars to local businesses.

Additionally, the money raised from registration fees is donated to the Twin Ports Miracle League, a nonprofit organization that builds baseball fields for children with disabilities.

Event organizers say the shuffle is a run for everyone, especially first time racers.

"This is maybe the most zany running event in Duluth. It's not a race; we go out and have a fun time," said Duluth Runnig Co. CEO Clint Agar. "We run together as a group so it's a fun way to get people out and try running."

This years Shuffle was expanded to include heated tents at Dubhlinn's pub, complete with food, drinks and live local music.
