Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- A 'no water contact' recommendation was issued Friday for Lakewalk Beach in Duluth. Elevated e.coli bacteria levels were discovered on Thursday, indicating a possibility of fecal contamination. The beach will be resampled on Monday.

Also, the 'no water contact' recommendation, which was placed on Duluth's Minnesota Point Harborside/15th Street Beach on Thursday, has since been removed Friday. The Minnesota Department of Health reports that bacteria levels have returned to an acceptable level.
