Visit Duluth names new President/CEO

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) -- Visit Duluth has named its new President and CEO.

45-year-old Anna Tanski has worked in the tourism industry for 23 years.

She succeeds Terry Mattson, who left Visit Duluth in December after 28 years with the organization.

Tanski has held the Director of Sales position at Visit Duluth since 2005 and previously worked as Director of Sales for the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center for 14 years.

Tanski was chosen from a pool of 29 applicants and will lead a staff of 11 people.

She says she is excited about the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.

"This is really a fantastic opportunity. I've worked in the industry for 23 years now , and Duluth is my home and it's the city that I love to live in and I love to sell it , so this is absolutely a dream come true," said Tanski

Tanski officially starts her new position on February 20.
