Members of area Police and Fire Departments were out having some fun in Duluth Saturday for a good cause.
The annual Guns–N–Hoses Softball Challenge took place at Wheeler field.
This year, the event benefits Arc Northland...a non profit that provides support and services to people with disabilities...and the Twin Ports Miracle League.
"We are working on building a completely accessible field for children and adults to play baseball on here in Duluth so today we've been doing all sorts of different raffles, as you can see I have tickets around my neck for the liquor raffle that we're doing and also some other great packages and we're really thankful they invited us to be a part of this awesome event," said Crystal Taylor, of Arc Northland.
The annual game began in the Twin Cities in 1993...it came up to Duluth in the early 2000's...and has been going on, benefiting local organizations ever since.
