Police arrest convict in armed Subway robbery

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- A Duluth man is behind bars for allegedly robbing a Duluth Subway at gunpoint.

The incident happened around 7:30 a.m. Friday at the restaurant on West Superior Street.

Police say convicted felon, 27-year-old Tommy Ray Morgan, used a gun to force the 26-year-old woman to hand over money from the cash register.

Morgan also robbed a 58-year-old customer of his wallet.

Police traced Morgan's footprints in the snow and arrested him a few blocks from the Subway.

The handgun, wallet and stolen money were all recovered.

Morgan is facing charges of 1st Degree Aggravated Robbery.
