Arrest made in Hibbing Short Stop gas station Robbery

Hibbing, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Police have made an arrest following an armed robbery at the Short Stop Gas Station, in Hibbing, on Saturday.

Police say their investigation led to positive identification of a 28 year old suspect.

One man was taken into custody without incident after a search at a residence on the 1600 block of East 29th street in Hibbing. Police say they recovered evidence at that address that linked the man to the robbery.

According to authorities, at approximately 6:20 Saturday evening, a man brandished a small black and silver handgun at the Short Stop cashier, and demanded cash.

The suspect is currently being held at the St. Louis County jail pending formal charges.
