Ashland, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- City of Ashland has passed a set of ordinances to restrict the sale of synthetics.

The ordinances are aimed directly at a downtown Ashland business, J.C. Moon, which has been selling synthetics, marketed as herbal potpourri and incense.

The first requires establishments selling the drug to buy an annual license.

It also restricts the locations of such establishments and hours of operation and requires stricter labeling of the products.

The second ordinance makes selling and consuming the drug a public nuisance.
