There's not much better than pancakes on a Saturday morning but pancakes that benefit a good cause just might be.

Saturday was the Lighthouse of Cloquet and Barnum's first Pancake fundraiser. All proceeds from the fundraiser went to the Cloquet Fire Department, which will use the money to buy a new ventilator.

Future pancake fundraisers will be held on the first Friday of every month. Proceeds from the next fundraiser will go to the Veteran's of Foreign Wars of Cloquet scholarship fund.

"We'd just like to invite the community to come in, pay two bucks for a plate of pancakes and then all the money goes back to that non-profit," says the Community Relations Director at the Lighthouse of Cloquet and Barnum Robin Rinke.

Also at the Lighthouse of Cloquet and Barnum today was a rummage sale to benefit Alzheimers Disease.
