Babbitt Police Chief Retires

BABBITT, MN (Northland's NewsCenter)---After more than 30 years with the Babbitt Police Department, Chief Terry Switajewski will retire at the end of this week.

Patrol Officer Chad Loewen, who has been with the department for 19 years, will become the new Chief.

Switajewski, who served as Babbitt's Chief for 20 years says he's most proud of his 16 year career as a D.A.R.E officer, teaching students in what is now called the North East Range School the dangers of drugs.
