Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Environmental consulting firm, Barr Engineering, has engineered the jump to Duluth's Canal Park.
The business is now occupying two of the upper floors of the Waterfront Plaza.
Representatives say it was a smooth move as the business closed its doors at the end of the workday on Friday and was up and running in the new location by Monday.
More than 100 people are employed in Duluth by Barr and the new location will allow the company to hire more.
"The biggest part of what this means for our company is that we're able to grow. We've been growing a lot lately and we have filled up our previous office space. Now we have more spaces and ability to hire more staff locally in the community" said Branch Office Coordinator, Sheryl Filby Williams.
The space was designed with the intention of having people run into each other throughout the day and engage in informal conversations about projects.
