Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) ---The weather couldn't be better for the start of a beautiful weekend, much to the delight of thousands of people attending the 26th Annual Bayfront Blues Fest.

Thousands of blues fans from across the country packed Bayfront Park Friday.

"I have been at every Blues for the last 26 years,” Jacque Buck said.

Buck moved to Bonita Springs, Florida, but never misses the chance to come back home and soak in the scenes and sounds of the concert event with the same group of women each year.

"Just running into old friends and family and just having a wonderful time,” Buck said. “The music is outstanding, usually the weather is, and what a beautiful venue."

Over the three day event, 32 acts are expected to sing the blues.

It's the singing, dancing and fun that has kept Michelle Byers from Des Moines, Iowa coming back for the last four years.

"The music and it's just a great venue,” Byers said. “I Love it here, it’s so beautiful. The weather is always good. Can't beat it!"

Organizers are expecting record crowds of more than 30,000 people for this year's festivities.

"I've got tickets already bought for next year,” Byers said.

Gates open again at 11, Saturday morning.

The festival wraps up Sunday night.
