Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- August 9-11, 32 different musical acts will be performing at the Bayfront Blues Festival.
On Monday Duluth Mayor Don Ness announced that the Bayfront Blues Festival has agreed to a new 3 year contract at Bayfront Festival Park where the Blues Fest has always been.
The Festival is expected to bring in about 20,000 people over the 3 day period, and all proceeds will go to the Parks department to invest in park grounds and projects.
"People want to gather in this place to see live music, and it has really become an iconic event for the city of Duluth for the past 25 years, and will continue to be in the future," said Mayor Don Ness.
Mayor Ness says that bands like The Robert Cray Band and many others will be bringing a quality national talent to the Northland.
The festival will feature a wide variety of food and beverage options by both local vendors and national sponsors.
Every year after the festival dozens of downtown night clubs feature live blues music.
Each person is allowed to bring 1 lawn chair to the festival, but because of space limitations beach blankets and tanning loungers will not be allowed.
