Duluth, MN (Northland's Newscenter) -- A traffic swap will take place on the Blatnik Bridge beginning next Monday.
The south bound lanes from Duluth to Superior will close while the north bound lanes will re-open.
The traffic switch was originally planned for later this week but was delayed due to a late arrival of construction products.
Beth Petrowske of MNDOT says the bridge project has been going well.
"Traffic's been moving through the bridge pretty smoothly so we haven't had too many complaints. I think people are patient, it takes a little bit longer, with a few more delays, but all in all, it's been moving pretty smoothly," Petrowske said.
Lanes are expected to reopen in both directions by mid-October.
Crews will have more work to do on the Blatnik Bridge beginning in May of next year.
