Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The new landmark lighting system on the Blatnik Bridge in Duluth will be turned off Thursday so that several light fixtures can be re-aimed.
Transportation Department officials say they have received complaints from eastbound mariners that glare from the lights have made it difficult to see.
MnDOT engineers and the lighting contractor who designed the new system will evaluate and adjust the fixtures so they will not interfere with marine traffic.
All roadway and navigational lights will remain lit.
