Racine Co., WI (NNC NOW) - The three–and–a–half year old doe was harvested near Bohners Lake, and volunteered to the DNR for sampling by a bow hunter on November 12th.

The CWD deer was found about seven miles from the most recent infected deer found in Walworth County, and about eight miles from the nearest positive in Kenosha County.

The DNR says volunteering deer for testing is still the most effective means of gathering information on the spread of CWD.
