One person is dead after their car left the road and hit a tree in Itasca County Monday night.
The Minnesota State Patrol says the 2006 Chevy Colorado was traveling south on Highway 65 in Nashwauk when the accident happened.
Shortly after 7 p.m., the Chevy truck crossed into the oncoming lane of traffic and ran into a ditch, hitting a large pine tree.
Two people were in the car at the time of the accident. One person was killed, and the other injured.
