Carlton Man Arrested for Allegedly Robbing Liquor Store at Knifepoint

Carlton, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Authorities have arrested a Carlton man for allegedly robbing a liquor store at knifepoint Saturday.

According to the Carlton County Sheriff's Office, Paul Duane Mrosla, 24, has been arrested for allegedly robbing Tall Pines Liquor in Carlton.

Authorities say a clerk at the store reported an armed robbery around 9:58 p.m. Saturday. They say the clerk was approached by a man with a knife and was told "this is a robbery. Give me the money."

The Sheriff's Office says the clerk gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect fled the store.

Authorities identified the suspect as Mrosla, who was found at a residence in Carlton.

Mrosla is being held at the Carlton County jail on charges of aggravated robbery, 2nd degree assault and terroristic threats.

He will remain in custody until he is formally charged by the Carlton County Attorney's office.

The Sheriff's Office was assisted with the investigation by the Minnesota State Patrol, Fond Du Lac Police Department and the Cloquet Police Department.
