Grand Marais, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) - A one year old Northland boy is dead after his father accidentally struck him with his vehicle.
The Cook County Sheriff's Office say 42 year–old Mark Russell of Beaver Bay hit his son early Monday morning while in the Grand Marais Rec Area.
The boy was transported to the North Shore Hospital in Grand Marais where he passed away from his injuries.
Authorities say no criminal conduct is suspected.
There is a Fund set up for the family at North Shore Federal Credit Union with branches in Silver Bay and Grand Marais.
