Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Art enthusiasts from Choice Unlimited gathered at Beaner's in Duluth to show off their stuff for a poem reading.

In front of an audience of nearly 75 people, nearly a dozen students from the non–profit that supports adults with disabilities funneled their creativity into words.

Some messages were meant to be funny and some were more heart–felt.

The students meet every Friday at the art institute West, which is funded by the Minnesota Arts Board.

In addition to poetry, Choice Unlimited also offers lessons in visual arts and dance.

The next Choice Unlimited poetry event will take place this summer.
