Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Cirrus is rolling out a new generation of SR-series aircrafts that will allow for more room for baggage or another person.

The SR22 and the SR22T can hold up to 3600 lbs. with a seat for a fifth person, allowing for more fuel, an extra person or extra cargo and can fly non-stop for over 700 nautical miles.

"A new standard has been set by our Engineering team that has worked tirelessly to certify this airplane to 3600 lbs. gross weight and deliver an uncompromising new generation of Cirrus SR-Series aircraft," says Todd Simmons, Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing at Cirrus Aircraft.

The SR22 and SR22T will be the 5th Generation of aircraft produced by Cirrus. Cirrus officials say that the entire aircraft was analyzed from spinner to tail with many parts and systems re-engineered and redesigned to accommodate the increased airframe load and improved flight performance.

Deliveries of the 2013 aircraft are already underway.
