Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - A Duluth business is filing suit against the city and a nearby business following last year’s flooding, according to City Attorney Gunnar Johnson.
Johnson said the city was served with a summons from Last Chance Liquor.
He notified the city council of the action Friday via e-mail.
The business, located on 619 East 4th street, also filed suit against Whole Foods Co-Op.
The suit alleges the city and the co-op are to blame for $50,000 dollars in damages brought on by a culvert failure during last June’s flooding.
Johnson said the city has 20 days to file an answer to the complaint.
