Duluth, MN (Northland Newscenter) - Cliffs Natural Resources paid tribute to its employees who have served in the United States military.

Cliffs executive leaders presented awards to show admiration for their service.

The ceremony took place at the downtown Duluth Sheraton Hotel.

"When I found out that I was leaving I asked what would happen to my job and I found out it would be exactly the same as if I didn't even leave, which no other employer has ever done," Nathaniel Ezell, a Cliffs Natural Resources Inc. Honoree, said.

"Follow their lead. I mean there are a lot of veterans that work for a lot of corporations and small businesses. I mean, identify them. They are hard workers and they will be there when you need them," Sgt. Brian Saaristo, said.

Sergeant Saaristo is a Barnum native and he lost both of his legs while serving the war in Iraq in 2006.
