Hibbing, MN (NNCNOW.com) -- Cliff's Natural Resources in Hibbing unveiled its new pink 240 ton production truck on Thursday.

The truck is the first of its kind at the mining company.

It was created for breast cancer awareness, which is the second leading cause of death of among women.

The idea for the pink box came from one of Hib–tac's employees, who has lost loved ones to the disease.

"My family was negatively affected by it. I lost my mother to cancer," said Dave Eddy, Mine Maintenance Manager at Hib-Tac.
I thought about it, and they were able to do the pink paint and at that point I went to my management. Jack Croswell our manager, said we could do this and Cliffs granted permission to move forward."

The company will have the pink box for three years, which is how long the piece of equipment lasts.

Cliffs also co-hosted a free women's health event at Fairview Medical Center to raise awareness about breast cancer.
