Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- While bad weather can ground an airplane, it can't stop the eleven tribute bands taking the stage in Duluth's Bayfront Park this weekend.

The 6th Annual Tribute Fest kicked off Friday night with hundreds of concertgoers taking to Canal Park for the show.

With the tagline of "raising funds for homeless veterans through rock and roll," the event's profits will go to the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans.

Tribute Fest first timer Tina Vandevoort, of Minneapolis, made the trip with her best friend to catch some of Friday and Saturday's top acts.

"I think I'm most exited for probably the Pink Floyd tribute, and the Led Zeppelin tribute," listed Vandevoort.

Tribute Fest will wrapped up Saturday night with the Queen cover band, "Essential Queen," taking the stage.
