Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The overcast skies put a damper on the first day of the Duluth Air Show Saturday.

The optimism ahead of the weekend event, however, was not washed out by the weather.

Tens of thousands of people still turned out to enjoy the events festivities and to catch a glimpse of the United States Navy's Blue Angels.

Due to poor visibility, only a handful of planes took off on the run way.

Event organizers say if you have not used your prepaid ticket on Saturday, you can use your ticket on Sunday.
