Cook, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Authorities have released the names of the victims involved in a fatal car crash near Cook, MN.
Tuesday evening around 6:30, officers responded to the report of a car crash involving a tractor trailer at the intersection of Highway 73 and Highway 1 in St. Louis County.
Authorities say a Honda Accord with five people inside went through a stop sign at the intersection and collided with the tractor trailer.
One of the passengers of the car, 19 year old Elizabeth Hill of Liberty, MO died in the accident.
Three passengers were air lifted to Essentia St. Mary's in Duluth. 22 year Jonathon Vickers sustained serious injuries and is listed in critical condition. The driver of the car 21 year old Whitney Cragun of Ironton, MN was also seriously injured, but is now listed in fair condition. Ivana Brokesova sustained non-life threatening injuries in the crash and is now listed in good condition.
Another passenger of the car, Vatilina Kadurina, had no apparent injuries.
All five adults in the Honda are Voyageurs Lutheran Ministry staff from Cook, MN. Staff at the ministry are working to put together a healing service at Camp Vermilion this Saturday, July 6th at 4 pm.
The driver of the tractor trailer 40 year old Leslie Abraham was not injured in the crash.
