Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - The Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra is providing Northlanders a music–packed weekend, starting Saturday night.

The youth symphony will be side–by–side with the professional orchestra on Saturday night for the Musical Postcards concert.

On Sunday, they will perform on their own during the annual Lollipop Concert.

Organizers say it's a great way for kids in districts without an orchestra program to get involved.

"For those kids to come and play with our youth orchestras and to have actual on–stage experience with a professional orchestra, it give them a taste of what to prepare for when they go on to do this as a career," said DSSO Director Rebecca Peterson.

Both performances will be held at the DECC.
