DTA Offering Holiday Service During Fourth Fest in Duluth

July 1, 2013 Updated Jul 1, 2013 at 12:30 PM CDT

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Duluth Transit Authority will be offering a limited holiday schedule for their regular route and STRIDE services during the city's Fourth Fest this week.

Holiday service will only be provided in the City of Duluth; not in Superior, where additional funding for holiday services is not currently available.

The DTA will also provide two Port Town Trolleys during the Independence Day Celebration at the Bayfront Festival Park in an effort to accommodate the large number of visitors in Duluth.

The trolleys will run on its regular route from 12:15 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 4th, circulating every 15 minutes between downtown Duluth, Canal Park and the Bayfront Festival Park.

The Trolleys will provide direct service to Bayfront Festival Park during Fourth Fest with a special stop on Railroad Street. However, Harbor Drive will be closed to all traffic during the Fourth Fest and the Trolleys will not be able to serve the Great Lakes Aquarium, the Excursion Dock, the S/S Irvin or Duluth Cinema Theater on July 4th.

For more information on the DTA's schedule during Fourth Fest in Duluth, you can log onto the Duluth Transit Authority's website.
