Dayton order flags to be flown at half-staff on Monday

St. Paul, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Lance Corporal Caleb Erickson was killed in Afghanistan seven days ago while serving as a U.S. Marine.

He was only 20 years old, born and raised in Waseca, Minn., and was known for his smile, positive attitude and love for his country.

Governor Mark Dayton has ordered American flags to be flown at half-staff at all state and federal buildings in honor of this Marine from sunrise to sunset on Monday.

Erickson was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division and the II Marine Expeditionary Force.
