Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Bayfront Blues Festival is well underway and people come together for the magic of blues music. One dedicated fan has celebrated right from the start.
For the past 25 years Bayfront has been bringing the blues and for fan Bob Strand, better known as "Barstool Bob," he's seen them all.
"After a couple years, you're kind of hooked, you know. It's such a great area, with the setting and the barges going in the background, you can't get anything better than that," said fan Bob Strand.
For Strand, the festival is more of reunion of blues fest buddies.
"Every time I come here, you get a hug from different people, it's like good to see you again, how have you been," said Strand.
And it's that same soulful feeling that brings Suzi Johnson back year after year, for more than two decades.
"Blues brings us all together and the opportunity to meet new people and gather with friends that you made through the years of coming here," said fan Suzi Johnson.
As the Bayfront Blues Festival rolls into its 25th year, this group says there's no other way to bond over blues.
"Everybody here has one thing in common, is that we absolutely love blues and we love music and it's that commonality of the music that brings us together, and people just have a great time," said Johnson.
Whether it's your first or your twenty-fifth, Barstool Bob says it's always a good time.
"There's something new, there's always an act that you've never seen before, you know, or something that you come away with and go, wow that was cool," said Strand.
So, if you've seen one or seen them all, they all agree, the blues will always bring you back.
The 25th annual Bayfront Blues Festival runs through Sunday.
