Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Many of us here in the Northland have been eagerly anticipating the coming spring. Those celebrating the 20th annual Bockfest at Fitger's are taking it to a whole new level

An ongoing tradition, Bockfest is a celebrated in the final weeks of winter.

Over the past several days, Northlanders have enjoyed warming themselves by nightly campfires, singing songs up and down the boardwalk, and even taking a quick jump in Lake Superior for the brave.

Of course the event wouldn't be complete without a toast to the coming spring over a locally brewed Bock beer.

"We've been here for ones like today where it's sunny and you know spring is just around the corner," said volunteer and former Duluth City Councilor Jeff Anderson, "so for me Bockfest means spring and summer are coming very soon."

Saturday was the final day for Bockfest, but after twenty years of celebration you can be pretty sure Bockfest will return next year.
