Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - 15 dogs stole the show at a K-9 parade at the Benedictine Health Center in Duluth Wednesday.
Dogs of all sizes strutted their stuff while raising money to benefit the Walk to End Alzheimer's event scheduled for September.
KBJR 6 & Range 11 news anchor Kevin Jacobsen was on the judging panel along with a Westwood resident and one of the center's preschoolers.
The three judges gave the first place trophy to Oxford, a three-year-old Shih Tzu with only one eye.
"He's a special dog," said Oxford's owner, Paul Frost. "He came from Animal Allies and he only has one eye and nobody wanted to adopt him so we did. He's been a real good pet. My wife has Alzheimer's and he's just been a great pet for her."
Event organizers say their goal is to raise $8,000 to benefit Alzheimer's research by the end of September.
