Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - A downed tree left a little more than 2,000 people without power in Duluth's Lakeside Neighborhood Monday afternoon.

Amy Rutledge with Minnesota Power said an independent service accidentally dropped the tree onto a power line at the intersection of 52nd and Tioga causing the outage.

Half of the customers had their lights back on within 30 minutes.

Some had to wait until just before 6:30 to get their power back on due to a broken pole.
