Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Dozens took part in a friendly competition to support a Duluth endurance athlete in his fight against Lyme disease.
Dusty Olson, a former Duluth East Greyhound believes he contracted Lyme Disease during a run in Jay Cooke State Park about two years ago.
At a Dusty Du Benefit race near Boulder Lake this morning, teams of two paddled across a lake in a canoe, ran about two miles and then paddled back to the starting point.
Racers donated $5 or more to help cover the costs of Olson's medical expenses for Lyme Disease.
