Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com)-- Vance Hopkins, Assistant Principal at Ordean East Middle School passed away unexpectedly, according to school officials.
Vance returned to education after a leave of absence from the district in 2000 to teach at a charter school, and returned in 2006 to serve as the Assistant Principal at Ordean East.
Duluth school administrators say grief support is available for students and staff.
