Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com)-- Annie Harala has announced her candidacy for Duluth School Board At Large.
Harala is a Duluth Central graduate and has taught in both Central Washington State and in inner city Chicago and right now she's working with public health policy. She says she's running on a platform of forward thinking.
"We have great teachers, we have great facilities," said Harala at the Duluth Library Sunday. "How can we move forward writing the next plan for our schools?"
Harala also wants to focus on the achievement gap and having an open discussion about the homeless student issue in Duluth schools.
