Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Sometimes, it's ok to forget to tell your kids that they're actually learning a thing or two when it feels like they're just having fun.

For the 3,000 or so families that attended the 6th annual Bubble Fest at the Duluth Children's Museum earlier Sunday, education and entertainment were definitely being blended in a soapy mix.

Organizers say the event is always set for the last Sunday of summer as a gift to the community.

With school just around the corner, Children's Museum President Michael Garcia says Bubble Fest is a chance for kids to blow off steam, while learning that learning can be fun.

"There are things like, 'how do you create bubble solution? What are the ingredients?' And so, children are taking away some definite science concepts and learnings here today," said Garcia, "and it just kind of sets a tone that teaching and learning can be fun."

Over 40 UMD students volunteered this year to help run Bubble Fest, including the Cheer Squad.
