Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - It's a week filled with change for Duluth City Councilor Dan Hartman.
Hartman said Wednesday afternoon he will not seek a second term on the council.
He made the announcement during a news conference at Co.lab in the Dewitt Seitz.Building in Canal Park.
"My worry is that between family needs and new additional work needs I would not be able to place my full attention on council matters to the level I feel they deserve," he said.
Hartman began working as the new interim director of Glensheen this past Monday after resigning as the curator at the Veterans’ Memorial Hall at the Depot.
Hartman said he was proud of the city's efforts during his time on the council.
"There are few things in my life that have been more rewarding. I am very proud of what we as a city have accomplished in a short time. I am proud to have been a part of that," he said.
