Milwaukee, WI (NNCNOW.com) - It was a roller coaster day for the Duluth East Daredevils FIRST Robotics Team Saturday as they pit their might against the competition at the Wisconsin Regional Tournament, in Milwaukee.

Many in competitive robotics consider this regional tournament to be among the toughest in the world.

Of the 60 teams there, 8 were from Minnesota this year.

After dominating their three qualification matches Saturday, the Daredevils moved on to win their first quarter final match.

Unfortunately, Team 2512 was knocked out of the tournament after losing their final two quarterfinal matches.

But the Daredevils plan to stick around for the award ceremony.

Even though they lost Saturday, Daredevils spokespeople say there's still hope to compete in the World Tournament.
