Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Duluth Fire Department will soon receive a bit of additional funding to help train the many Northland fire fighters who put their lives on the line for us every day.

This week Duluth city officials accepted a grant of nearly $11,000 from the Minnesota Board of Firefighter Training and Education, or MBFTE, to support training for the Duluth fire department.

The MBTFE is able to award additional funding to fire departments throughout the state through the redistribution of unused training reimbursement funds.
