Duluth Man Behind Bars For Vehicle Prowls

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- A Duluth man is behind bars for his involvement in recent vehicle break–ins.

On Saturday night, around 9:30, Duluth police found a 26–year–old man sitting inside a vehicle in a parking lot near 3rd Avenue East and 1st Street.

Police say he broke out a passenger side window in another car close to where he was found.

He was arrested and found in possession of stolen property taken from another vehicle prowl that happened on the 400 block of west 1st Street.

He's in St. Louis County Jail on charges of Tampering with a Motor Vehicle, 2 counts of Theft and Damage to Property as well as being in Possession of Stolen Property.

The man has convictions in 2006 for Tampering with a Motor Vehicle, 5th Degree Assault, and DWI.
