Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Duluth Mayor Don Ness broke tradition in delivering his 2013 state of the city address Monday.
They Mayor prerecorded his address this year in a documentary style presentation.
It aired on MY9 and to a live viewing audience at Clyde Iron Works in Duluth.
The mayor touched on three major points during the address including flood recovery, recent economic development success and the efforts the city is taking to make city finances stronger.
The mayor said the departure from tradition is in an effort to reach a wider audience.
"We need to find a way to better tell this story-to convey through pictures and through video, as well as the narrative behind it-we felt like we could tell that story better," the Mayor said.
