Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- A day after he turned the big 4-0, Duluth Mayor Don Ness is honored as the Twin Cities Business Magazine’s 2013 Person of the Year.

In a statement released by Twin Cities Business, Editor-in-Chief Dale Kurschner explained the Mayor “stood out for outstanding leadership that has strengthened our state’s economy, business opportunities and culture.”

Mayor Ness says he feels incredibly fortunate to be Duluth's mayor at a time when the city is making huge strides to come back from the recession and develop a culturally diverse community.

This is the first year Twin Cities Business has designated a Person of the Year.
