Duluth Police Launches New Program

Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) -- The Duluth Police Department is launching the "iWatchDuluth" program. It will take effect on Thursday, April 19th.

The "iWatchDuluth" program is a free mobile application that allows citizens to report crime tips, images and videos about crimes or suspicious activity.

The tips can be sent from almost any mobile phone or computer that can be sent annoymously and easily.

When the tips are sent they are received in a secure environment and displayed on a Duluth Police supervisor's computer and/or smartphone.

Android, Apple and soon Blackberry smartphones can be used.
