Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Need that special bouquet of roses for a birthday or anniversary? The Duluth Rotary Club has you covered.

The 28th Annual Rose Sale fundraiser event for the Rotary of Duluth Club 25 kicks off on August 29th. If you are interested in purchasing roses, you can check out the Duluth Rotary Club's website or call 218-348-ROSE.

Rose orders include a free coupon book for local businesses valuing over $500. Ordered roses can be picked up on Friday, October 11 and Saturday, October 12 at the following locations:
• Super One Foods Stores – Kenwood, Miller Hill, Plaza, West Duluth and Two Harbors
• Mount Royal Fine Foods
• Holiday Center (Friday only)
• Peterson Anderson
• Engwall Florists in Superior

“It is an honor to have the ability as a service club to distribute such significant amounts of money to our community,” said Club 25 President Dave McLean. “Our club members do an exceptional job of volunteering their time and energy to fulfill Rotary’s mission of “Service Above Self” by asking community members to purchase roses to raise funds to give back to our community.

The Rotary Rose Sale has supported many community capital projects, including lighting the Aerial Lift Bridge, the Duluth Depot, and Enger Tower. Other projects include 2012 flood relief, fencing the soccer fields on the Jean Duluth road, establishing the City of Duluth Azalea Garden, along with support for CHUM, Damiano Center, Kid’s Closet, and many other endeavors.
